Do you enjoy reading and/or writing about food? Do you have – or want to start – a food blog? Are you interested in food as a social-political issue? Are you hungry?!?
Come celebrate and explore Wesleyan’s food writing community at a student-run food writing panel hosted by The Shapiro Creative Writing Center and the Writing Programs!
Our panelists are: Will Levitt ’12, founder of The Dorm Room Dinner.com; Amanda Schwartz ’12, author of a creative thesis that focuses on food creation and consumption as a form metaphor; Alex Ketchum ’12, whose thesis investigates food from a labor perspective; and Aviva Markowitz ’12, editor of the Food section of The Argus. Each panelist will discuss various aspects of writing about food, and will take questions and comments from the audience.
Come with questions and your appetite! We will have dessert!
