Worried about your first paper of the semester? Freaking out about your thesis? Need someone to proofread your cover letter? Come to the Writing Workshop! The Workshop opens this Sunday, February 3rd at 7 p.m. Tutors work Sunday through Thursday,7-11 p.m. in three locations: Olin room 106, Sci Li room 77 (in the basement) and the Shapiro Creative Writing Center (167 High Street–the card-access door is at the back of the building, at the top of the ramp). We’re ready to talk with you about your ideas, help you clarify your thesis, check your grammar–we’ll work with you on anything writing-related!
To make an appointment, click on “Writing Workshop” in your e-Portfolio (a tip–make sure that your Portfolio hasn’t timed you out, and that you’re not using Safari as your browser). You should see the appointment schedule–click on the appointment slot you’d like, fill out the appointment form, and you’re all set! You’ll receive a confirmation email with your appointment’s date, time, and location. Please note that Olin hours are drop-in only, and cannot be booked through the scheduler.
If you’ve never registered for the Workshop before, click on “Click here to register” and sign in with your Wes email address. For security, make sure that the password you choose is different from your Wesleyan password. Answer the registration questions, and you’re all set! You can now schedule Workshop appointments. After registering once, you shouldn’t have to sign in on this page again–your Portfolio should pass you straight to the appointment schedule. (If it doesn’t, make sure you’re signed in and not using Safari).
If you have any questions or concerns, contact Ford Fellow Emma Mohney at 860-685-2440 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll see you soon in the Writing Workshop!
